Prevention “oscars” goes to Slovenians

It is with great pleasure to announce that the Recognition and Honors Committee with nominations from the membership of the Society for Prevention Research (SPR) has selected the team of Matej Košir and Sanela Talić, Director and Head of Prevention Programmes at the Institute for Research and Development »Utrip« from Slovenia, to receive the 2020 International Collaborative Prevention Research Award. 

The SPR International Collaborative Prevention Research Award is given to an individual or a team of individuals for contributions to the field of prevention science in the area of international collaboration. They will be presented their award at the virtual, Annual Awards Presentation on Thursday, July 23 from 10:00 pm to 10:30 pm (Slovenian time) at the 28th Annual Meeting of the Society for Prevention Research. In the field of prevention science, SPR awards are considered as a kind of professional »Oscars« and they are a prestigious and at the same time very important professional reference for every expert in the field of prevention science, policy and practice.
