We are very pleased to announce that the Arabic edition of Prevention Gone Wrong by Matej Košir is now available on Amazon as a Kindle eBook.
The Arabic edition, titled الوقاية العكسية, brings the key messages of the book to Arabic-speaking professionals, educators, policymakers, civil society organisations, parents, and institutions working in prevention, youth development, public health, and drug demand reduction.
The book challenges outdated and ineffective prevention practices, including scare tactics, moralising messages, misinformation, one-off lectures, and other well-intentioned but often counterproductive approaches. Instead, it promotes practical, evidence-informed alternatives that support young people through life skills, resilience, critical thinking, supportive relationships, and healthier environments.
The Arabic translation was prepared by Dr Mousa Al-Tarifi from The Jordan Anti Drugs Society (TJADS). UTRIP sincerely thanks Dr Al-Tarifi for his commitment, friendship, and important contribution to making the book accessible to Arabic-speaking audiences.
At this stage, the Arabic edition is available through Amazon only as a Kindle eBook, as Arabic paperback and hardcover formats are currently not supported through Amazon KDP. The Kindle edition can be read on a Kindle device, tablet, or smartphone using the Kindle app.
